WELL DONE – ROBERT TUKSAR
This Sunday Robert (if selected) will play his 454th senior game for Albury Hotspurs. This means he will pass Darrel Mills games tally and will have played more games than any other Spurs player. (It is very likely that no one from any club in the 40 years of AWFA soccer has played more senior games) During this time Robert has scored more than 330 goals. This is a magnificent effort by someone who has played with Spurs since he was eight and has contributed greatly to the club by coaching and donating much of his time to support Hotspurs in any way he can. Well done Robert on a fantastic effort.

SSF U9 Hotspurs White vs Hotspurs Gold
Another game where only the good guys can win. Gold were short a few players so young Mitch from U6 helped out and was a little dynamo for them, even scored their first goal for to make it 1 all. Both Hotspurs teams showed some great team work and manage to put some good passing moves together. Ashleigh got her first goal when she showed nice control from a pass, turned and scored. She wasn’t finished there, scoring her second later in the game.
Brodie scored 4 for White, two in off the post, some great finishing Brodie. Lachlan chipped in with a goal and it was well deserved as he work tirelessly for the team. Calvin made some good challenges and passes and Tomoki played well. Another great performance at the back by Reese, not only displaying great defence but starting to provide some great drive out of the back bring it forward for attack.

Under 12’s Girls V Diamonds Lost 1 – 4
What a game from the girls, they are improving week by week!! The girls started well and were only one nil down at half time. The girls all held their positions in the second half and Lilly scored a great goal assisted by Evie, great team work girls!! Ciara was very brave after receiving a ball to the face and went back on to have a run up front with Halle. Aleaha was strong in goals and pulled off some great saves. The midfield moved the ball well with Justine, Lilly and Sarsha making some good runs. Unfortunately in the last Ten minutes with no subs the girls got tired and Diamonds finished off the game. Keep up the great effort girls!!! Special Thanks to Tanesha for getting the girls ready and warmed up!!
Under 12’s Girls V Albury City Lost 0 – 2
Wow!! Another great game full of exciting play from the Under 12 girls!! They have really started to grow together as a team and were passing the ball around well. Mia was fantastic in her first game as goal keeper and did a great job, Well done Mia! The defence were strong with Erica, Sarsha, Laura, Ciara and Bella G all having great games. Midfield worked hard with Bella, Halle, Justine and Lilly all playing well, with Lilly unlucky not to score. Evie had a couple of great shots on target and did very well. A great game girls against the top of the ladder team, you all played well.
Under 13’s V Albury City Lost 1 – 2
Well – the Spurs listened to the pre match advice of their coach and took it up to City from the opening whistle.
They were rewarded with a goal from Alex after about 5 mins. City were stung into action and pressed back hard, eventually scoring from a ball which bounced around in front of goal.
The second half was a see sawing affair. Plenty of shots on goal from both teams and countless balls bounced off the woodwork. Either team could have taken the lead. Eventually City got the upper hand. Well done to Ray in goals. An entertaining game all round.

Reserve Women V Albury City Won 1 – 0
A great game from the Reserve Women on a day where we were very short. The girls passed the ball around well with Gios, Miki, Deb and Fi creating some great chances. The midfiled played well with Emily S, Mikaela, running hard all game. The defence were as strong as ever with Danielle having a great game and Bec S, and Beth holding together, Simone had a great game in goals. Thanks to Emma and Milla for providing some fast and fresh legs, it was great to have you in the team girls, Well Done Team!!
Reserves V Albury City Won 3 – 0
The reserves played very well on Sunday to record a strong win. The defence was excellent with Jack Percy and James Nichols playing well and Jono Corkett keeping a clean sheet in goals. Irish played well after having a good nights sleep and Mark Belgre, Michael Wright and Jon Robin also had strong games. Well Done team.
Ladies V Albury City Lost 0 – 8
Seniors V Albury City Lost 1 – 3
A disappointing result with the senior not playing as well as they can. The team had little luck with four shots hitting the posts during the game but in truth our opponents were the better side on the day. Robert Tuksar, Ryan Weston. Matthew Clement and Ryan Giles were the best for the Spurs.
