We encourage all grades to submit match reports to go in the newsletter. Reports need to be sent each week to wrights@dragnet.com.au before 10pm on the Monday after the game so they can be collated. Match reports
Under 11s V Myrtleford BYE
Under 12s V Myrtleford Won 6 – 0
This team played very well on Sunday. The passing and positional play was of a high standard. Jack Bergin was excellent in midfield and was ably supported by Brodie Davies and Noah Peisley. Harry Carmody and Will Clarke were also very good in the forward line. Sanjay and Jonathon Gillard played very well in defence. Overall a good day for the 12 boys.
Under 12s Girls V Myrtleford BYE
Under 13s V Myrtleford Won 5 – 0
Today’s team was helped out by Brodie and Jonathon from the u/11s,who held their own on the park against players 2 years their senior. We also have the help of our u/12s and our girls teams every week to make our u/13s team. We started to put into practice some of the work we do at training, passing the ball out wide like Roy has asked. Goals today went to Jonathon, Connor, Josh, Harry C, and Harry M.
Awards went to Josh, Brodie and Kristian.
Under 14s V Myrtleford Won 3 – 1
A very physical game today for our 14s and it took a while for us to settle down and play our game. Once we did we were rewarded with a goal from Felix in the 20th minute and 5 minutes later a goal from Denzel, having us leading 2-1 at the break. Second half saw us extend the lead with a goal from Bella around the 36th minute. We were then on the defend with Myrtleford trying with all they had to score resulting in Felix sent off blood rule and Harry carried off late tackle, but they held on and won 3-1. Thank you to Bella, Laura, James and Bailey for helping us out. It was Baileys 3rd game for the day.
Awards went to Bella, Laura, Denzel, James and Bailey.

Under 16s V Myrtleford BYE
Third’s V Myrtleford Lost 0 – 1
Over 35s V BYE
Reserve Women Gold V Myrtleford BYE
Reserve Women Black V Diamonds Lost 0 – 14
Reserves V Myrtleford Draw 3 – 3
For the second week in a row the Ressies had a 3-3 draw. This team were somewhat unlucky as the opponents equalising goal was very lucky
and happened very late in the game. The Bhutan Boys were great in this match with Arjun, Ragan (2Pac) and Durgar all playing really well. Mark Belgre and Middi Pursehouse also had strong games.
Ladies V Myrtleford Lost 0 – 6
The women had a disappointing loss to Myrtleford with a slow first half putting us behind by half time. Play improved considerably during the second half but unfortunately we were unable to find the back of the net. Well done to Millie and Kaylah for best on, and Anna and Ali who were strong and consistent in their positions. Special thanks to Snowy and Gios for coming down to help us out. Bad luck girls but great effort in what was a very physical game.
Seniors V Myrtleford Lost 0 – 4
Another disappointing result by the seniors. The team had a poor first half but improved greatly after halftime. Jon Cochrane, Paul Kinning and Indra Poudel worked very hard all day and were the best players for Spurs. The team has train to hard and stay positive and better results will follow.
