Cup Semi Finals Entry Fee
Please be aware that Spectators over 16 will have to pay $15 to attend the semi -final and final at Jelbart Park over the next two weeks.
Pensioners and Seniors will be charged $10.
Coaches, Managers and Players will be given tickets to gain entry.
Miniroos Gala Day
The mini-roos gala day was a great success. Good weather and lots of teams running around enjoying themselves. Thanks to all the coaches for organising the teams and special thanks to Mia Spokes for organising the mini-roos this year and doing a great job.
Junior Presentation Day this Saturday 5 Sept
The junior presentation ( for U6 to U16s ) is at Aloysius park this Saturday starting at 2;00pm and it should conclude by 5:00 pm.
We will start with a BBQ free for all players (Parents are welcome to join in for a gold coin donation-Thanks) We will also have a drinks and other activities for the kids!!
Then all players will receive their rewards for this year.
Please bring a chair for comfort and also remember to bring your playing strip (if your team has finished for the year) See you on Saturday.
Senior Presentation Dinner
Will be on Friday 6th November at the Commercial Club, ( 6.30 pm onwards ), $50 per head. Booking details on website and Facebook.
Newsletters
We encourage all grades to submit match reports to go in the newsletter. Reports need to be sent each week to wrights@dragnet.com.au before 10pm on the Monday after the game so they can be collated. The report does not have to be done by the manager or coach so you can share the responsibility between the parents and/or players. You can see past reports on the Hotspurs website.

Under 11s v Wangaratta Lost 2 – 3
We went one up early in the first half then Wang hit back with three quick goals before half-time. The team battled hard in the second-half and we managed to get our second and it was a delightful piece of play that led to it. As hard as the team tried, we couldn’t break down Wang’s defence and get the equaliser.
I feel the team has grown and developed over the year and they all should be very proud of themselves.

What a different game for the girls this week, they were focused and played together as a whole team, passing the ball well and finishing their chances in the final third. A very nice game to watch as they moved the ball well. Our defence were solid lead by Ciara and Paige and Lil did a great job in goals keeping a clean sheet. A great team effort from all, Keep this going for next week girls and anything is possible!! A huge thankyou to Beck, Narelle and Caroline for coaching the girls during the week!!

These girls definitely have improved as the season has gone on and their never give up attitude is a credit to them!! We scored first and had a one nil lead at half time but United came out strong and scored back to equalise. We went into extra time and were still locked at a draw, so one of the toughest ways to finish a game we went to penalties!! Bella was absolutely awesome in goals and pulled off some incredible saves in the penalty shoot out, and our girls put away their chances. An awesome team effort from the whole team bring on diamonds this week, a very tough task but one I feel these girls are definitely up to the challenge. Keep up the great work girls!! Thanks to Halle’s dad for running the line.

Our final report for the year. Thanks for a good season guys, we may not have trained the hardest but we got to the game and gave a good showing for ourselves. Some games were good, others not so and we suffered the usual injuries for gentleman our age. The game itself was not good in the first half after the first 15 minutes when we held them out but we did score a goal and then in the second half we showed more determination. Thanks for your efforts and good luck to the retirees in their future spectator role.
Reserve Women Gold v St Pats Won 3 – 2
Wow!! A good game from the girls who passed the ball well, all our goals were scored in the first half and we had a nice 3-1 lead at half time. St Pats managed to score a goal in the 2nd half but we held out the game on a very warm morning. The girls were focused and knew what we had to do and we did. Alex scored two very nice goals after a couple of great assists, and KT put away a cracker!! A great team effort. Thanks to all who came and supported us we hope to see you again this week and to Clint thank you for again running the line, we appreciate it, bring on diamonds in the semi finals!! Go spurs!!
