Cup Semi Finals
On Sunday we had four teams representing us. The Reserve women were unfortunately narrowly beaten by a golden goal. The Fourteen Girls were
defeated by a very strong team in their semi-final. The highlights were our super 12 girls team who played really well to win 3-1 and enter next week’s cup final.
The other highlight was the great performance by our 14 boys who came from two goals down at halftime to win 3-2 against a team who had not been defeated this year. An outstanding effort.

Under 12s Girls V United Won 3 – 1
Wow!! What a game from the under 12 girls who were a little slow to settle in and start with United scoring the first goal in two minutes but luckily we scored back and were one all at half time, after a quick talk and words of encouragement the girls came out strong and played 15 minutes of amazing attacking pressure to score 2 more goals, Scarlett was amazing marking out their best player and Ava, Halle, Alyssa, Caitlin and Evy moved the ball well and created scoring chances,
Ciara was super solid in defence and chased every ball down, she was well supported by Grace, Brooke, Bella, Paige and Lucy.
Lil was awesome as always in goals. Bring on the Grand Final next week, anything is possible if the girls continue to work as a team and want the ball!! Thanks to everyone for their support!!
Under 14s V United Won 3 – 3
Under 14s Girls V Diamonds Loss 0 – 6
A very tough ask against the top side who have not lost a game and scored over 100 goals and are a lot bigger than our girls but the girls went in and played their best but were beaten by a side who wanted it more especially after Alesha injured herself in a tackle,
Laura was solid in defence and was supported well, Halle and Justine created a few chances up front. A huge Congratulations to all the girls on a fantastic season together who will only continue to grow in strength in their first year as an under 14 girls side. Thanks also to all the under 12 girls who have helped out over the season and filled in week after week. Keep enjoying your football girls!!
Reserve Women Gold V Diamonds Loss 0 – 1
Result loss 1-0 in extra time(golden goal) A very exciting semi final, the girls all played their hearts out and left absolutely nothing in the tank!! The girls have had an incredible season and worked so well together as a team, never giving up and this game no different with luck definitely on our side. Our defenders of Kelly, Molly, Dani, Megan and Beck were amazing and it was them who kept us in the game with our Super keeper Jules who travelled back. We held them to nil all at half time and full time and were so close but diamond managed to score in extra time with 30 seconds left. A huge thank you to all the girls for the season. Well Done it was a pleasure to coach you!!
