U11s v Albury City won 4-3
We played a super game and the full time score Hotspurs 4 and Albury City 3. An amazing goal from Lenny to get us in the lead at the start, then half time came. Jack scored to make the score 2-0. Unfortunately, City scored two goals to equal the score! The Jack scored another two goals to make the score 4-2. Then finally, they got one more goal to create the final score 4-3. Jake did extremely well in goals, and the team played really well together.

U12 girls won 6-0
A strong game from the girls with many of the girls playing their first game of football or their first game for the Under 12 girls on a large field. We passed the ball well and created many scoring chances. Lil lead from the back and was super strong in goals. With our defenders not letting much through- well done Brooke, Paige, Katie, Tahlia S and Sienna. Ruby, Tahlia A and Daisy all played well up front. With Ava dominating the play and supporting the younger girls. Alex, Lil, Georgia and Olivia were solid in the middle of the park and kept working hard on a hot day. Goals to Avax3, Tahlia A, Alex and Daisy. Well done girls very entertaining to watch.
U12s v Albury City lost 5-1
We were up against a very good team and we showed good endeavor to hold them scoreless for much of the first half. Our defence was excellent and we made it difficult for them to have it their own way. Ian had another very good game in goals. Ava and Hamayun were a force in central defence while Jonathon and Jayke defended the flanks, Jonathon was calm in defence and energetic going forward. Jayke is improving and learning and getting better with each game.
Reese, Jay and Brodie were tireless in the midfield and made many tackles and many passes. Dawson, Cody, Josh and Tomoki battled hard up front, never gave up and kept pushing for another goal until the final whistle.
You should be proud of your performance, well done TEAM.
Our goal cam from the hard work from young Cody and finished off by Tomoki

U14s v Albury City lost 2-1
Under 14 girls lost 6-2 Diamonds
On Friday night a mighty 10 turned up to battle Diamonds at La Trobe. We were passing the ball well and Bella pulled off some great saves as she played Goalie. Mattea, Sarsha, Lil and KAtie all played well in the midfield with PAige holding forward line. Grace, Ciara, Laura and Kate teamed up well in the defence. Diamonds were very quick and created many scoring chances. We were only 2 nil down at half time and battled on to be back in the game at 3- 2 but unfortunately just ran out of puff and the game got away from us. Keep heads up girls!!
U14 girls v Albury City lost 3-2
The girls played well and were very unlucky to lose the game as they had dominated most of the play. Scarlett was awesome in goals and did a great job and our defenders were super quick chasing down every ball with LAura, Yasmin, Kate and Grace doing a great job. Bella lead the way in the centre of the park and opened our scoring, Lily and Paige held the forward line well and created some good chances. Thanks to Brooke, Katie, Lily, Ava and Paige for providing support to the team on a very hot day. Well Done girls a great team effort.
U16s v Albury City won 7-2
Spurs in typical style took a bit to warm up and were 1-0 down after the first minute!! However once they found the ‘on’ button they produced one of the best displays of soccer we have seen for a long time. Passing and vision was great. Some excellent passages of play and great teamwork was displayed. They used the width of the field in attack and were confident and strong on the ball. The defence was solid and shut down a number of runs. Score was 4-2 at half time. The team kept up the good work and went on with the job in the second half. Well done Spurs. If you play like that all season no one will come near you.
Thirds v Albury City lost 4-1
O35s v Albury City Lost 0-4
A very disappointing day & result for us. Only 10 minutes into the game & we lost Tuksar to a knee injury & then towards the end of the first half we also lost Spokesy to injury. We wish them both, along with Wildy who was also injured in our last game a speedy recovery.
Although we were keen to play we seemed to have lost our touch throughout the half with too much turnover of the ball. The second term was a little better but still not what we are capable of.
The positive of the game was that we did worry them & looked dangerous when we created chances with nifty little 1 2s to feet & some wonderful crosses from the wings but we still could not manageto put the ball in the back of the net which would of made the score line much more respectable.
We now have 2 weeks to regroup due to byes until our next game.
Reserve Ladies v Albury City lost 4-1
A competitive game from the girls who never gave up chasing. We were only 1 nil down at half time and unfortunately we just ran out of puff and legs against a much younger side who had several cracking shots on goal. KT and Claire were awesome in the midfield and were supported well from Gios and Sara creating many chances. Our defenders were awesome with Keely leading the way and chasing down every ball. Mary and Jess teamed up well up front. A great first goal to Claire!! Well played girls a solid team effort, every week we show improvement and strength. Keep it up girls!!
Reserves Men v Albury City 0-1 Loss
The Reserves played another strong game and were unlucky not to get a win. The team had plenty of chances but could not find the net. Unfortunately our opponents got a very late goal to take all the points. Doug and Ranga were great in defence. Nick Baily and Chris Vidovic played very well in midfield and Ryan Smith and Shannon also did a good job up front. Lets make sure of a win next week.
Senior Men v Albury City 1-4 loss
The seniors battled well against a highly ranked team. There was no scoreat halftime and still only 1-1 all well into the second half. Unfortunately a few simple errors gave our opponents the initiative. It was a good team effort with Westo, Matt Townsend and Mitch Ryan standing out.
