U11s v Boomers drew 2-2
It was Hotspurs vs. Boomers in Round Four this week. The end result was a draw, with both teams scoring two goals.
Cody scored the first goal, he kicked it from the edge of the box and it went in. Before Cody scored his goal, we were two nil down. Then we thought we might have a chance at beating them. Then Cody scored another goal, it was a scramble inside the box and he kicked it in. The game was now a draw and we only had ten minutes to go. We defended well but weren’t lucky enough to score a winning goal.
The captain for this week was Oliver Cutler here are some good mentions of the game. Ryan played well because he was pressurizing them and getting the ball all the time. Cody played well cause he scored two goals and he was passing the ball a lot. Max played well because he was defending and passing on the wings. Caleb played well because he was defending, like always and he was passing it a lot. Mitch played well because he was running along the wings tirelessly.
It was Lily’s birthday this week, Happy Birthday Lily!

U12 Girls v Melrose won 5-0
A very solid game from the Under 12 girls as they begin to come together and learn more about positions and playing on a big field. The girls started well with Ava hitting a ball from outside the box into goals and another from a free kick. Our defence were solid with Paige leading the way and covering every ball she was supported well by Tahlia S, Katie and Lil. Great work in the middle of the park by Ava, Mattea, Sienna and Alex who continued to pass the ball through to our forwards Daisy, Ruby and Tahlia A.
A very Happy birthday to our keeper Lily who kept a clean sheet and talked well from the back. Well Done girls keep it up!!

Wow, this game had it all. 3-1 down at half-time and a penalty saved by Boomers keeper. The second-half was much better with a formation change and a few individuals who really lifted their game and inspired the rest of the team to lift as well. Then it was Ian’s turn to save a penalty from Boomers. And Tomoki scored his second from a free kick which he earnt from a dazzling run with the ball. Then Ava capitalised on an error from Boomers, catching the keeper out of position and scoring from distance. But Ava wasn’t done and with one minute remaining, from the corner of the 18-yard box, drilled it into the opposite top corner to put us in front.
This result only came through hard work and great determination from all players.

U14s v Boomers won 4-1
Thank you to the players who filled in for us today Will Clarke, Nathan Johannis and Ava. A good first win for the season but a lot of work still to be done, listening to the coach and trying our hardest will be a big step in the right direction. Don’t forget the movie night on Tuesday night hope to see the players there.

The Ressies were finally rewarded for their consistent form this year with a strong win on Sunday. The team has had trouble finishing their play but two goals from James Shannon, two from Irish and a great goal from Ryan Smith made sure they would finished on top. Great games from Ranga and Doug in defence and Dhan,Shannon and Chris Vidovic were highlights in a great team display.
Senior Women lost 0-6
Senior Men v Boomers won 5-2
A very poor start which found the senior two goals down after fifteen minutes do not prevent them from recording a great victory. Eggy got the side going with two quick goals and then the team settled to play some good football. Ryan Weston played well and scored a top goal. Mitch Ryan, Paul Kinning,
Matt Townsend and Joe Suggate all played well.
