U11s v Myrtleford won 5-1
It started off with the ball pushing up to our goals. Ben had the first attemptat goal and was unlucky. Myrtleford’s defenders were under pressure all the time from the Hotspur forwards.
The first two goals were by Jack and the second one from a penalty!
As the ball came down Jake saved a great goal keeping the scores 2-0. He does a great job .
After half time Mitch was in attack and did a great cross for Jack to score . Ryan also scored a super goal. Myrtleford started attacking strongly for only the second time of the game. Anytime they did attack, the ball was always chased down by me(Lenny) and the other defenders .We were strong in defence.Unfortunately they did manage to score a goal.
It was ok as Ryan scored from a penalty. It was a massive kick.
The final score was 5-1
Everyone played well, a great team effort .Irish and Justin – I think we should practice our throw- ins at training this week.

U16s v Myrtleford won 4-2
A scrappy win for the team on Sunday but a well-deserved one as the Spurs had more of the ball throughout the match. Zac kicked the first goal to open the scoring, Bryce followed up, then Oliver, before Myrtleford managed to score to make us 3-1 up at halftime. Coach John exhorted ruthlessness but in the second half the opposition kicked the next goal. With time running out Oliver danced his way past the keeper and we were two goals clear again. It is terrific to see the whole team working together so well. Go Spurs.

Reserve Women v Myrtleford drew 1-1
A great fight back from the reserve ladies who after 20 seconds were one nil down but the girls battled hard and pulled together as a team to play out the game and get a draw. Our defence were rock solid and a fantastic cross by KT and pass to Mary created our goal scoring opportunity which was converted by Sara. Well Done to all a fantastic team effort. Best on was Tynecia who played many positions and did very well. Thanks to Craig and Leo for running our line.
Reserve Men v Myrtleford won 2-1
The Ressies continued their excellent form with a well deserved win on Sunday. The team went behind after conceding a penalty and created many scoring chances but still were down at halftime. The team played strongly in the second half and goals by James Shannon and Ryan Smith were enough to take three points. Many good players in a great team performance but Doug Agar, Promise, Chris Vidovic, Alex Birrell, Nick Baily and Lewis Parrett were standouts.
Senior Women v Myrtleford lost 1-4
Senior Men v Myrtleford lost 2-4
The Senior Men were up against the ladder leaders and they lost no admirers in a tough game. Unfortunately the team played with only tem men for the majority of the game after a send off in the first half. Despite being a man down the seniors the team was competitive throughout with our opponents only sealing the points in time on. Mick Corkett, Mark Belgre, Joe Suggate (who scored his first senior goal ) Jon Cochrane and Ryan Weston all played great games. The seniors showed great fight in difficult circumstances. Well done to all.
