Match Reports
Under 12 girls lost 5-4
A game that could of gone either way and went goal for goal and kept the supporters very excited!! Ava was awesome in the middle of the park and created and finished 3 very nice goals. It was great to have Ashleigh score a cracker just after the half after being 1 nil down. Mattea and Alex ran hard all game and Ruby was very brave to come back on after a knock to the head. We will play Wang again next week so fingers crossed we can get on top. Keep working girls. Awards to Ruby, mattea, Alex, Georgia, Olivia and Ashleigh and a huge thanks to Lockie for running the line.
Under 14 girls: won 11-1
Wow!! These girls have really come together as a team and are playing some beautiful football. Lil was strong in goals and our defenders stood tall and chased down everything with Laura, Grace, Ciara and Kate doing an awesome job!! Bella and Sarsha passed the ball well and created many scoring chances with Bella being the assist queen always looking to pass the ball for the team. Ava continued to play strongly finishing with 4 goals, Sarsha and Bella with 3 each and Mattea with 1. Awards to Sarsha, Kate, Grace, Ava. A great game girls, keep up the great work!!
Reserves Men v Twin City lost 1-3
The Ressies are still a bit short on personnel but the team performed well against the league leaders. Ranga, Joe , Doug and Promise played well in defence while Zac Brodie had a blinder in midfield. Ben Gardiner used his great height to score with his head. Overall the team should be pleased with their game.
Senior Men v Twin City lost 0-5
The seniors played a poor first half and were down by four goals at the break. The second half was much better and it was pleasing to see young players like Luke Dahl, Ryan Weston, Lewis Parrett take the game up to our opponents. Alex Birrell and Ethan Hurley also played well after being called into the side at late notice.
