All game reports to go in the newsletter need to be sent each week to wrights@dragnet.com.au before 10pm on the Monday after the game so they can be collated. The newsletter is emailed out each week. The report does not have to be done by the manager or coach so you can share the responsibility between the parents and/or players. If you miss the deadline I’ll carry the article into the following week but please try to meet the deadline. You can see past reports on the Hotspurs website.

The club would love to see some match reports from the Under 11’s
very important game for the girls and unfortunately we just could not get across the line, with over half the team away or out injured. We turned up with a magnificent eight and a super keen Lily Godfrey who has been training hard with the 12 girls and did great. The girls were ready to play and that they did with scores locked in a draw at half time, the girls continued to battle and play hard, must have been the Super sub coaching from Dee, but we just ran out of legs and could not finish our chances up the other end. Sarsha and Bella Godfrey had outstanding games and if you have not watched a 12 girls game, you should see how hard these girls work and the way they support each other and the improvement they have all developed as a team. Well Done girls a fantastic effort, lets keep working hard. Well done to Brooke and Mikayla for sharing a half each in goals, you both did great. Thanks to John for running the line and again to Dee for getting the girls organised and coaching while Fi was playing in the mud!!
Goals: Tim 1, Marcus 1, Harry 1, Gerizim 1, Wendell 1, Felix 1, Baghat 1, Sarsha 1, Bryce 1

This was a tough game as we only had a bare eleven players and Jim Parrett played in goals to make sure we had a full team. Thanks Jim!
The team played really well on a very heavy pitch. The defence was great in not conceding a goal so congrats to Karl, Lewis, John and Jim.
The midfield of Hamish, Lachlan, Joel and Jacob played strongly to keep us in the game. Ben and Sam were the goal scorers in a top team performance.

Reserve Women V Benalla Won 5 – 0
A good result for the mighty reserve ladies team on a muddy pitch!! The girls passed the ball to feet or should we say scooped it to feet. Fi was playing stuck in the mud near goals while Gios fell in the mud, face first!! A great birthday goal for Em Weavers who helped the ressies out with many players away or injured. Kendal was a star in midfield. Neesh had a great 2nd half and was first to the ball after loosing her feet in the first. Jules kept a clean sheet and our defence was super strong held together by Megan and Taylah. Some very nice team goals and on a muddy pitch it was definitely all about the assists. Goals to Snowy, Em, Gios x2 and a cracker by Fi. Thanks to Anna and Bailey for running the line and helping the Reserve ladies out when no one else volunteered. Keep working hard girls, the results are paying off. Well Done!!

The ressies played well in really tough conditions. Joel, Middi, Joncock and Zac played well at the back. The midfield also did a good job with Irish, Vidders and Eggy standing out. Eggy got two goals, Tuksar and Irish both scored top goals and Milky got the fifth. Well done team.
