Presidents Report
With only half the compliment of games on Sunday it was still great to see so many turn up and offer support.
Spurs had some great results, our Senior Ladies are flying at the moment, sitting on top of the ladder, early doors, but exciting times.
On Wednesday night our Senior Men play their FA Cup fixture against Myrtleford at Melrose Park.
The match starts at 7pm and is sure to be a cracker, get there and give a big Spurs support.
Sunday we host arch rivals Albury United. This fixture is always a blockbuster across all grades.

16 Boys v Wodonga Heart Won 4-3
We got off to a sluggish start against last years League Champions. Many players were starting to find their feet but fitness and touch wasn’t the best after a long off season.
We were 2-0 down at the half and Coach Brad seemed a little bit upset at the teams failure to perform basic tasks and show a little effort when competing.
The coach pulled out top drawer spray he usually reserves for later in the season.
It worked, the team woke up. We got one back pretty quick and players like Lucas and Tyreece started to boss their way defensively. Frank, Cooper and Alonso started to get on top in the midfield and we found a few more avenues to let Pat Mason do his thing up forward. He ended the day with a hattrick and our impact player Elisha Wild also finished a nice shot with her last kick of the game.
It was a proud moment for the team who showed heaps of resilience to fight their way back against a well drilled team.
Goals: Patrick Mason x3, Elisha Wild x1
14 Boys v Wodonga Heart Lost 0-4
There was a huge improvement in the group this week after going down 9-1 last week to the same opposition. I challenged the team to pressure high up the field and to take better care of the ball when we are in possession and they did exactly that.
Bailey had great game between the sticks, denying Heart a number of one on one opportunities and his much improved kickouts set up a couple of quick breaks.
Lucas, Rylee and Eve went well in the middle, with Indy and Cooper having great games in the defence.
Not the result we would have hoped for but a marked improvement nonetheless.
Thank you to the u13 boys that backed up to give cover on the bench.
The team would like to wish a speedy recovery to Josh Nicholls who done himself a mischief on Friday and will be missing for at least a month.

12 Boys v Wodonga Heart
A good day to be on the park and a good contest was had!l against Heart. was a tight start to the game and was clear this was going to be a tough game and the first goal would be important.
Half way through the first half and they scored on the break and our heads went down. We did regroup in the second half and played well out the back and tried to use the width. We were a few players down and are still getting used to the small pitch but proud of the way the way we kept at it! Good efforts boys(& M) Go Spursies!
