Match Reports
Div.2 Women v Twin City
Back on home soil and the ladies pressed early giving the opposition no time on the ball. Mya with the opener, followed by Cassie (debut) and MJ on the scoresheet we were quickly holding advantage and controlling the play. Hayley, Bee, Lily and Seanna kept everything in our forward half with the ball never really troubling Lain in goals. Gabby controlled the midfield opening up play for both Ellissa and Chelsea wide. Chantal worked hard up front with linking plays and both Stam & Aleya with great support across the back.
MJ finishing with a hattrick in a standout performance and Mya also finishing with 2 goals.
Final score 6-0 (with maybe double that missed with good chances) but its great to see the ladies creating opportunities on goal and very solid in defence.
Grill’d Award to MJ for an excellent midfield performance.
Enjoy Easter everyone and we look forward to Round 4 in a few weeks.
Over 35s v Twin City
We started the match off on the wrong foot, quite literally!
Twin City capitalized on our early mistakes, swiftly securing a significant lead. Their performance was stellar, while ours left much to be desired. However, as the game progressed, we managed to find our rhythm, stringing together some impressive passes and displaying moments of promise. Despite scoring three well-executed goals and coming close to adding a couple more, it wasn’t sufficient against Twin City’s formidable offense. The match concluded with a disappointing 3-9 defeat.
