Match Reports
Over 35s
Firstly, a big thank you to Albury City for assembling a team for our match. It’s uplifting to witness the dedication of loyal club members who steadfastly support their team and club through challenging times.
We secured a convincing 8-1 victory, a much-needed boost after enduring some tough losses recently. Kel swiftly found the net in the opening minute, capitalizing on Diego’s excellent play down the left wing. The Milk Man followed up with a first-half hat trick, setting the tone for our dominance. Although City managed a commendable goal of their own, we maintained control, entering halftime with a commanding 4-1 lead.
The second half saw similar momentum, with some personnel changes. Kinno adding a brace and Foxy and Scotty (the Twins) a goal each to our tally.
Kinno was awarded the Grill’d player of the match.
It’s imperative that everyone checks and confirms their availability on TeamApp prior to the team announcement on Friday evening. We’re approaching a point where the coach won’t be able to accommodate late responses.
Div. 2 Women
The ladies dominated in the first half with multiple chances created and defence holding strong with every counter attack. With a different formation tried for the first time the team settled into controlling the play and the midfield got on top early. Great game from MJ in the centre controlling everything through the middle and when needed Lain was great and building in confidence with every game in goals. We piled on 7 goals by the end of the day.
Goals to Mya, MJ, Jess, Chantel and the Grill’d Award for Yas who shined bright across the wing and was untouchable for most of the day with 3 goals.
We will build again as we go on the road next week. Big thanks to Nancy (Manager) and Brad (Senior Coach) for their support so far this year. Go Spurs!
